Julebal med danselystne koncerter!
Så er det tid til årets julebal på turkis! I år vil vi i samarbejde med Aarhus Folk Festival & Nordisk Dans Aarhus, byde indenfor til en aften med skøn musik, højt humør og masser dans på de persiske tæpper!

Vi skal have fødderne i gang, og I bydes derfor velkommen med en danseworkshop i nordisk dans. Hvis du ikke har mod på at danse, er du meget velkommen til at dukke op alligevel, da musikken og stemningen bestemt også en oplevelse værdig. Resten af aftenen byder på gløgg, hygge og koncerter med både Vesselil og Mads Hansens Kapel.
Der skal spilles op til dans, og det bliver en farverig og skøn aften. Vi glæder os til at se jer!
VESSELIL
Vesselil er en moderne dansk stryge- og vokaltrio med violin, bratsch, cello og sang. Trioen har med deres intense nærvær og hengivne sammenspil skabt et varieret, elegant og energifyldt koncertrepertoire med dybe rødder i den nordiske folkemusiktradition; en sindrig blanding af gamle sange og dansemelodier og nye kompositioner, der fører lytteren gennem rørende fortællinger, filmiske scenarier og sydende dansegulve. Trioen balancerer mellem det glædessprudlende og det melankolske og formidler både dybde og styrke.
MADS HANSENS KAPEL
“Mor dig først, spørg bagefter!” Disse er ordene som definerer danseorkesteret og folk-ensemblet Mads Hansens Kapel. Dansemusikken har altid været levende og foranderlig, og dette høres tydeligt i fortolkningen af de gamle melodier, som spilles med vildskab, autoritet og hjerte! For danses skal der, enten det er på gulvet eller stolene! MHK er, med deres evindelige nysgerrighed og legende tilgang, altid i bevægelse; Fra det voldsomme, dristige og nævenyttige, til det sarte, smukke og inderlige, fortæller Kapellet historien om 5 unge mænd og deres rejse mod stjernerne.

Christmas ball dance-loving concerts !
It is now time for this year’s Christmas ball at turkis! This year, in collaboration with Aarhus Folk Festival and Aarhus Nordisk Dans, we will invite you inside for an evening of great music, high spirits and lots of dancing on the Persian carpets! We need to get our feet moving, and you are therefore welcomed with a dance workshop in Nordic dance. If you don’t have the courage to dance, you are very welcome to show up anyway, as the music and the atmosphere are definitely worth an experience.
The rest of the evening offers Gløgg, fun and concerts with both Vesselil and Mads Hansen’s Kapel. There will be lots of dancing, and it will be a colorful and wonderful evening. We are looking forward to seeing you!
VESSELIL
Vesselil is a new, modern folk string trio from Denmark consisting of violin, viola, cello and vocals. Their repertoire consists of a versatile and elegant mixture of old Nordic folk songs, dance tunes, own compositions and elements of improvisation. With an unusual presence and devotion to the music and vivid and creative arrangements that transport you in and out of filmic sceneries, sizzling dance floors and open skies, the trio has impressed and touched a wide audience around DK and Germany. The trio balances between the joyful and the melancholic and conveys both depth and strength.
MADS HANSENS KAPEL
“Enjoyment first, worry later!” These are the words that define the dance orchestra and folk ensemble Mads Hansens Kapel. Entering the service of the fine arts in 2016 MHK quickly became noticed on the Danish folk scene – and dance floor! The dance music has always been vibrant and changeable and this is heard clearly in the interpretation of the old melodies played with wildness, authority and heart! For there will be dancing, whether on the floor or the chairs! Mads Hansens Kapel is, with their eternal curiosity and playful approach, always in motion; From the fierce, the bold and fussy, to the delicate, beautiful and heartily, MHK tells the story of 5 young men and their journey towards the stars.
