About the band:
La Nordika is a group born in the city of Sundsvall Sweden in 2017 with a very exclusive criterion of Latin music, it is a musical proposal that seeks to position itself at the top of the salsa scene and Latin jazz in Europe, United States and Latin America.
“Taste with a Scandinavian accent” is the slogan that identifies us and under which we have given it a very authentic and contemporary sound identity that evokes the characteristic sound of salsa made in the 60s and 70s with a high influence of the great port orchestras Rico, Cuba, Colombia and New York.
Under the direction of the ALEK PORTILLA – “ALEK SALSA” and who after arriving in Sweden in 2017 has given himself the task of bringing together of the best and most talented musicians from all over the country who contribute all his talent and energy on stage inviting his audience to enjoy and become infected with the best of his repertoire which has arrangements and original lyrics sung in Swedish, English and Spanish and within which are unreleased songs of different genres such as the jazz, latin jazz, salsa, guaguanco, descarga, bomba and plena.

La Nordika es una agrupación nacida en la ciudad de Sundsvall Suecia en el año 2017 con un criterio muy exclusivo de la música latina, es una propuesta musical que busca posicionarse en lo mas alto de la escena salsera y el latín jazz de Europa, estados unidos y latinoamerica. “Sabor con acento escandinavo” es el eslogan que nos identifica y bajo el cual le hemos dado una identidad sonora muy autentica y contemporánea que evoca el sonido característico de la salsa echa en los 60 y 70 con una alta influencia de las grandes orquestas de puerto rico, cuba, Colombia y New york.
Bajo la dirección del percusionista ALEK PORTILLA – “ALEK SALSA” quien después de llegar a Suecia en 2017 se ha dado a la tarea de reunir a los mejores y mas talentosos músicos de todo el país los cuales aportan todo su talento y energía en el escenario invitando a su publico a disfrutar y a contagiarse de lo mejor de su repertorio el cual cuenta con arreglos y letras originales cantadas en sueco, ingles y español y dentro del que se encuentran temas inéditos de diferentes géneros como el jazz, el latín jazz, la salsa, él guaguanco, el son montuno, la bomba y la plena.
