Lindy hop at ‘Danseteltet’ in Aarhus Festuge
Aarhus Lindy Hoppers will take over the floor in Danseteltet to social dance. It will be possible to ask the dancers to teach you a few steps, and you will be able to join in no time.
If you haven’t heard of Lindy Hop before, it is an energetic swing dance which was born in the African-American communities in Harlem, New York City, in 1928 and has evolved greatly since then. It was a fusion of many dances that were prevalent at the time, but is mainly based on jazz, tap, breakaway and Charleston. There is both partnered and solo dancing.
