On Wednesday 30th of August 18-18:45, Aarhus Lindy Hoppers gives an introduction to Lindy Hop, in both cases followed by 2 hours of social dancing!
If you haven’t heard of Lindy Hop before, it is an energetic swing dance, which was born in the late twenties in the African-American communities on Harlem, New York City and has evolved greatly since then.
It was a fusion of many dances prevalent at the time, but is mainly based on Jazz, Tap, Breakaway and Charleston.
There is both partnered and solo dancing – this introduction will be for partnered dancing, but bringing a partner is not necessary.
