Lindy Hop in Aarhus Festuge | Social Dance
Aarhus Lindy Hoppers invite you to 3 hours of Lindy Hop social dancing in Danseteltet in the City Hall park. This event is aimed at dancers who already know some Lindy Hop, and there will not be offered an introduction.
If you haven’t heard of Lindy Hop before, it is an energetic swing dance, which was born in the late twenties in the African-American communities on Harlem, New York City and has evolved greatly since then. It was a fusion of many dances prevalent at the time, but is mainly based on Jazz, Tap, Breakaway and Charleston. There is both partnered and solo dancing.
If you are interested in learning Lindy Hop, we encourage you to show up to the Lindy Hop events on Saturday the 26/8 as well as Wednesday the 30/8, where we will offer intro classes before social dancing.
