Swinging By The Sea – Summer 2020
Hello all Lindy Hop dancers in Aarhus Lindy Hoppers!
Swinging by the Sea is returning!
Since the Corona guidelines are a little more flexible now, we can plan some Swinging by the Sea events during the summer of 2020. Please consult the guidelines below. We will be dancing by the Navitas building in the heart of Aarhus.
Come and join us for some social dancing, solo jazz steps, routines or to practice your footwork if you wish.
We will bring the speaker, put on some music and “we’re gonna shake that thing”
It’s pretty easy to find us: Just walk around the building and you will find us on one of the Navitas corners.
Keep an eye on updates: if the weather is terrible, we might postpone the event or change the location.
Please consider these guidelines before you join:
The Danish Authorities’ recommendations now allow for solo dance or couples dancing with the same partner the whole time. Please be aware that if you choose to dance with different partners, it is your own responsibility. Aarhus Lindy Hoppers recommend you all to follow the authorities’ guideline.
Further guidelines:
– We will be a maximum of 50 people together – The event team will continuously monitor the amount of dancers plus onlookers to make sure we don’t exceed the limit. However, please help us and also make a quick count of the group before you join in.
– We will provide hand sanitizer but feel free to bring your own as well. If you prefer to wear a mask, that’s great. Please bring your own in that case.
– Keep 2 meters between you and other couples.This is hard for the event team to control, so please note, that it is every couple’s own responsibility to make sure to keep the right distance.
– If you feel sick, please stay at home!
– If you don’t feel like dancing yet but just want to come say hi, you are of course welcome to do so too! We would love to see you and know how you’re doing after all this time without seeing you.
