Beginners' Workshop

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! The Beginners’ Workshop is held at the beginning of each semester. It’s a deep dive into the fundamentals of Lindy Hop, into the joy and rhythm of swing dancing, and it is a necessity if you want to join the weekly Level 1 classes.

You’re welcome to join on your own or with a partner — either way, we’ll make sure the number of leaders and followers are balanced. During the workshop, we rotate partners regularly, giving everyone the chance to dance with the others at the same level, just like the spirit of those classic swing dance halls.

We recommend that new dancers sign up for both the workshop and Level 1 at the same time — it’s the best way to keep your feet moving and your confidence growing.
