Black Circle Stage – What can we do together?

Black Circle Stage is a new venue and artistic platform coming soon to Gellerup.

We’d love to introduce the project, hear your ideas, and find out what the neighbourhood wants to create, experience, and make happen here.

How can we bring Gellerup and the city centre closer together? Let’s explore new ways to invite more people into the activities and cultural life happening in Gellerup.

Come and tell us what we can create together at Black Circle Stage.

This first edition is made for young people aged 17-30 from Gellerup and all over Aarhus. Everyone is welcome, but this one is especially for you.

What should I bring?
A small snack to share (from home, from your culture, or just something you love) and your curiosity. A story is welcome, but not required.

About the series
A new edition each month, announced at least a month in advance. Future editions will rotate between venues around Gellerup, until Black Circle Stage finds its permanent home.

What happens?
Everyone adds something to the table: a taste, a tradition, a memory. Each evening has a short artistic intervention (a performance, a reading, a small act) to spark conversation, followed by time to eat, talk, and meet new people. No pressure to speak, just come as you are.

Over the season, you might experience:
Art: a closer look at a practice or process, shown by someone who does it
Culture & tradition: food, rituals, and stories from different backgrounds
Society: conversations about what matters to us, in an informal setting

Organised by Black Circle Stage, in collaboration with Centralen. It’s a volunteer-driven initiative, so come help us start something really tasty.
